The Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida, is passionate about employee health and the medical team at A Place for Women is delighted to be a part of the impressive wellness initiatives available to resort staff. The Gaylord Palms’ wellness program started in 2001 and has since established the internationally renowned resort as one of the healthiest employers in Orlando. Their yearly health fair is a core component of the employee wellness program and a favorite among hotel personnel.

The annual event regularly hosts from 65 to 75 vendors for employees to peruse in the retreat's sprawling 40,000 square foot convention center. The resort’s in-house chefs, who also prepare healthy menu options for Palms' staff, provide lunch during the health fair. As a part of the ongoing wellness initiatives that continue through the year, theses nutritious meals are available to Gaylord Palms’ team members for about $1.50 daily. Other wellness efforts include monthly activities and healthy giveaways for participation.
